When you invite someone into your home for a major repair or emergency, you need absolute certainty that they are qualified, safe, and professional.
The Vetting Process
We act as an independent guide and hub. While we don't perform the repairs ourselves, we have established a strict baseline criteria for any professional or third-party dispatch network we connect you with.
1. Valid Licensing Verification
Plumbers, electricians, and HVAC techs must hold active, valid licenses in the State of Washington to perform their specific trade.
2. Liability Insurance & Bonding
Contractors must maintain proper liability insurance and bonding, protecting you as the homeowner from financial liability in the event of an accident.
3. Positive Local Reputation
We analyze aggregate local review sentiment (Google, Yelp, Angi) to ensure the company has a track record of treating Seattle area customers fairly and transparently.
Ongoing Monitoring
Vetting is not a one-time event. We welcome homeowner feedback. If a professional in our network receives multiple complaints regarding pricing transparency, punctuality, or quality of work, we investigate and, if necessary, remove them from our matching program.
A Note for Consumers
While Seattle Home Support strictly vets all partners upon entry, licenses and insurance can lapse. We strongly encourage all homeowners to independently verify a contractor's L&I status and request a copy of their insurance certificate before signing any contracts or beginning a project.
